Bay City Hall Reopens Thursday

Bay City residents will have to wait one more day before seeking help from the city staff at the renovated city hall on Washington Avenue. Acting City Manager Dana Muscott says an additional day is needed to consolidate the return of staff from three satellite locations. The builidg will reopen on Thursday.

The historic structure, built in 1897, was damaged by a mulit-million dollar fire, October 12, 2010. In adition to repairing fire and water damage, crews also restored some of the original architecture.

Payments for city utility bills and other bills can still be placed in a drop box at 260 Washington, across the street from city hall, 301 Washington.

A ribbon cutting will be at 6:00 p.m., Janaury 27, 2014. Public tours of the renovated building will be held from noon uniti the grand opening ceremony.
