Beatles Sunday–Drive My Car

During “The Beatles Minute” on WSGW’s First Day with Pat Johnston & Hilary Farrell, I played the opening track to Rubber Soul, “Drive My Car.”

Rubber Soul gave the music world a glimpse of what was to come from the Fab Four as they would steadily move from the mop-top, garage-band sound to the musical pioneers they would forever be known for.

This is Paul’s song, although George helped arrainge the song being heavily influenced by Otis Redding’s “Respect.”
