Bay County United Way Campaign Kicks Off

Bay City’s Veterans Memorial Park hosted a kick-off party Friday evening for this year’s Bay County United Way campaign which runs through November 15th.

United Way Executive Director Mary Beth Laisure says this year’s goal is slightly higher than last year at $ 950,000.

She explained that money will be spread among 19 partner agencies including the Child Abuse and Neglect Council, Bay County Women’s Center and Do-All plus the Dow Bay Area Family “Y”.

Laisure added she’s optimistic that goal can be reached given the cooperation and hard work of local governments and businesses plus labor along with area residents.
